- The role is responsible to support the Finance Manager in the accounting activities of the company, including monthly closing, statutory audit as well as tax matters and support all administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily office operations. You will play a key finance business partnering role with the business departments as well as supporting the management team in offering financial advice that will allow them to make the best business decisions for the company.
- Accounting:
- Handling day to day accounting operations, updating of entries, closing of books, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting
- Support on Account Receivable/Accounts Payable aspects
- Supporting respective business departments on accounting and tax aspects of their operations
- Help budget and forecast preparation
- Support the Finance Manager on reporting aspects
- Liaising with external auditors and tax agents on relevant audit and taxation matters pertaining to the company.
- Drive process improvement as well as system implementation/upgrade projects.
- Administration:
- Manage relationships with vendors, service providers, and the landlord, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
- Handle contracts and negotiations with office vendors, service providers.
- Collaborate with relevant teams and stakeholders to enhance employee experience through well-organized events.
- Support cross-functional collaboration by fostering communication and alignment between departments.
- Develop and improve administrative systems to optimize workflows.
- At least 4 years of working experience
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CA or equivalent is required, and must be technically sound in Accounting standards/treatments and tax matters
- Hands on, an excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders across different levels.
- Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with ability to multitask.
- A team player who is meticulous to details, you demonstrate high adaptability to work in a fast pace environment, able to organise and prioritise your work effectively
- A positive, team-oriented attitude with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
- Proficient in MS Excel
- Strong background of internal controls and processes is strongly preferred
- Experience within the retail industry and ecommerce industry will be preferred.
