Sourcing Agent (US company, salary around USD 4,000 and open for nego for good candidates)

Our growing international company is seeking a dedicated and experienced Purchasing Sourcing Agent to be our on-site representative in Hai Phong, Vietnam. While based full-time at our vendor's facility, you will be a 100% employee of our company, acting as our representative on the ground. This pivotal role involves managing existing supplier relationships, optimizing the sourcing process, and actively identifying new products and manufacturing partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing: Research, develop strategies, and execute sourcing and contracting for new ventures in Vietnam, selecting and negotiating with suppliers to support business growth.

Supplier Management: Evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, service, and other factors. Monitor factory performance, proactively identify and resolve issues, and ensure adherence to company procedures and terms. Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong, reliable relationships with suppliers.

Quality Assurance: Ensure all goods meet the company's rigorous quality standards.

Inventory & Order Management: Analyze data for proper inventory positioning, place reorders, monitor shipments, and resolve delivery discrepancies. Review open purchase orders and update relevant information (ship dates, pricing).

Financial Oversight: Review invoices and foreign payment packages for finance, assisting with discrepancy resolution.

Market Intelligence: Maintain a comprehensive library of factories and vendors and stay informed on the latest products and market trends.
