About the Role:
Our client — a leading company in e-commerce — is seeking a Supply Chain Tariff Expert.  
Job Responsibilities
1. Customs Compliance and Optimization
• Lead and manage suppliers' end-to-end import and export customs clearance processes in Vietnam, ensuring compliance with local customs regulations. Handle HS code disputes, certificates of origin applications, and tariff planning.
• Monitor changes in customs policies and develop contingency plans on the supply chain side to mitigate compliance risks.
• Resolve cross-border transfer issues for fabrics/finished goods.
• Develop a customs training system for suppliers and lead customs digitization projects (e.g., ERP system integration, automated generation of customs documentation) to shorten clearance times.
2. Legal and Financial Coordination
• Provide expertise to ensure supply chain projects comply with Vietnam tax laws and foreign exchange regulations. Collaborate with the finance team to optimize cross-border cash flow and cost models.
• Coordinate and resolve financial disputes related to customs issues (e.g., customs fines, delayed tax refunds) and provide legal support and an evidence chain.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or above in International Trade, Customs Management, Logistics, Law, or Finance.
• At least 5 years of hands-on customs experience, with 3+ years focusing on Vietnam market. Familiar with local customs regulations, procedures, and typical case studies.
• Expertise in Vietnam HS code rules and free trade agreements. Proficient in customs systems.
• Fluent in English and Chinese, Vietnamese is a must.
 Core Competencies:
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Ability to quickly coordinate with supply chain, finance, and legal teams to resolve urgent clearance issues.
• Risk Assessment: Capable of identifying policy risks in advance and working with upstream and downstream partners to develop contingency plans.
• Crisis Management: Skilled at managing emergencies like customs detentions or documentation errors by coordinating with agents/customs to complete clearance.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in implementing customs procedures for cross-border e-commerce in Vietnam.
• Familiarity with industry-specific requirements in the apparel sector (e.g., textile quotas, eco-label certifications).
• Led AEO certification processes or customs digitization projects.
