I. Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Assess sketches and samples, comprehend customer requirements, provide guidance to the team for sample development, and ensure suitability for mass production. Verify patterns, explore alternatives, assess method feasibility, and evaluate workmanship during the trial phase.
  2. Determine all technical specifications for the garment, encompassing construction details and operation sequences. Select appropriate machinery, attachments, and work methods to align with customer expectations while considering practical constraints.
  3. Collaborate and communicate with customers regarding fit, construction, technical specifications, and raw materials. Clarify requirements and suggest optimal solutions to meet customer needs.
  4. Lead and coordinate all meetings and oversee pre-production activities to proactively identify and resolve technical and operational issues related to new product development.
  5. Collaborate closely with the Plant Manager and Production Manager to evaluate order feasibility. Offer insights on resource requirements, including machinery, attachments, and skills, and provide feedback to the Merchandising team for order acceptance.
  6. Provide technical guidance, such as sewing techniques and critical quality aspects, to relevant staff. Resolve daily operational and technical challenges in coordination with the Production team to ensure a seamless production process.
  7. Stay updated on advancements and trends in the garment manufacturing sector, particularly in technical areas. Assess the factory's capability to adopt these developments and keep the management informed.
  8. Review relevant processes and recommend improvements to continually enhance factory operations.
  9. Lead, direct, and motivate the team while monitoring their performance and providing feedback to ensure that the team's capabilities align with current and future organizational requirements.
  10. Maintain accurate records of relevant information and prepare and submit management reports and documents in a timely and accurate manner.
  11. Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Manager.

  1. Comparison of produced hours to budgeted hours.

  3. Achievement of efficiency as per the budgeted target.
  4. Right at The First Time (RFT) performance.
  5. Achievement of Quick Changeover (QCO) targets.
  6. Delivery In Full On Time (DIFOT) performance.
  7. Cut to ship efficiency.

III. Educational Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Garment Technology, Industrial Management, or a related field.

IV. Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficiency in Garment Manufacturing Processes, Sewing Machines, General Sewing Data, and Quality Standards.
  • Strong communication and MS-Office skills.
  • Effective leadership, coordination, analytical, and accuracy skills.
  • Time management, training, and sewing skills.
  • Process improvement capabilities.

V. Preferred Work Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar role."
