Job Responsibilities

Building and sustaining a reliable network of clients and suppliers both domestically and internationally

Coordinating with internal teams to manage orders and oversee the physical delivery process

Overseeing clients’ use of credit facilities, tracking payment behavior, and supporting collection efforts when required

Enhancing client satisfaction by fostering strong personal relationships and delivering expert bunker fuel solutions

Establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other key external stakeholders

Assisting internal operations by analyzing port activities, monitoring vessel schedules, and managing delivery logistics

Collaborating with global offices on inquiries, order handling, and supply arrangements at designated ports or during assigned shifts

Representing and promoting the company’s services in the domestic and international markets
Specific Tasks

Independently managing a personal client and supplier portfolio

Taking full ownership of the sales process—from identifying needs and gathering quotations to negotiating, finalizing, coordinating delivery, and providing after-sales support

Developing both spot transactions and long-term contractual solutions for clients

Strategizing and aligning bunker fuel offerings with clients’ operational needs

Conducting cold calls, initiating meetings, and identifying new business opportunities

Collaborating with local and international colleagues and senior management to resolve emerging issues

Researching and sharing relevant updates on markets, clients, counterparties, or industry trends within the team

Keeping current with industry developments, regulatory updates, and shipping news to maintain a competitive edge
- Assisting with general administrative responsibilities when necessary
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, International Trade, Logistics, Maritime Studies, or a related field
Work Experience:
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in booking, preferably in bunker fuel, marine fuels, or commodity trading (e.g., coal, steel)
• Experience working in a European company and directly reporting to European managers is a strong advantage
Industry Background:
• Candidates with a background in marine fuel trading are preferred
• Open to candidates from other commodity sectors with transferable skills (e.g., steel or coal trading)
Skills & Competencies:
• Strong understanding of commodity markets, supply chain dynamics, and trading cycles
• Ability to manage booking operations, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure efficient delivery schedules
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment with cross-cultural communication
