A.    Requirements
Educational Level: Bachelor's degree 
Work Experience: 10 years prior experience in a similar Training and Competency Assurance Role.
Specialty/Qualification        
-    Holds Cert 4 (or equivalent) in Training and Assessment.
-    Local knowledge of Registered Training Organizations an advantage.
-    Have good experience and be knowledgeable about systems:
•    Learning Management System.
•    Competency Management System.
•    Computer Based Training.
•    Working knowledge of SAP an advantage.
Skills:    
-    Excellent communication skills.
-    Client focused.
-    Able to work autonomously with little direct supervision.
-    Be competent user of Microsoft Office Suite.
-    Excellent Presentation Skills
B.    Purpose
The primary objective of this position is to assist the Operations Excellence in scoping, developing, delivering, and maintaining Training and Competency Assurance processes, procedures, and applications.
C.    Responsibility
This position is responsible for the following tasks:
-    Assist, participate, and coordinate with the development of a range of Training and Competency Assurance initiatives:
•    Training Needs Analysis
•    Training plan and schedule
•    Competency Assurance Framework
•    Learning Management System (LMS)
•    Competency Management System (CMS)
-    Assist with the preparation, and routine updating, of range of manuals, processes, and procedures relating to:
•    New Hire Engagement Programs
•    Training and Competency Assurance Programs
•    Employee Development Programs
•    Aboriginal and Torres Straight Engagement & Support Programs
-    Identify range of service providers on basis of Needs Analysis.
-    Prepare scope of work for external service providers.
-    Assist with the development of contracts pertaining to service providers.
-    Assist with planning and scheduling of service provider activities.
-    Expert knowledge with training and competency process, outcomes and requirements.
-    Provides guidance/support and shares knowledge and experience with others within workgroups and larger network.
-    Use available data to identify and priorities work and recommend plans to optimize resources. Identify training requirements on newly installed processes & equipment and develop training material.
-    Review and analyses vendor documentation which will be used as a resource for developing training materials.
-    Assist with the development & review of training materials.
-    Assist in the development of day to day administration systems of work and procedures for an efficient training function including but not limited to:
•    Ensure the appropriate filing and referencing of all documentation.
•    The data management and reporting.
•    Managing participants and attendances at training activities/functions.
•    Preparing / coordination of classroom preparation activities.
•    Office management duties.
-    Assist in establishing and running regular reports for the Operations and senior management on Training activities including but not limited to:
•    Summary of course evaluations;
•    Progress actual to planned activities; and
•    Finance and budget reports.
-    Assist in developing and maintaining:
•    The preferred training provider register(s);
•    Library of Company related curriculum and preferred course materials;
•    Electronic data bases of competencies; and
•    Monitoring employee qualification/accreditation/license currency for operations/production personnel.
-    Assist in developing the Client Training Management Records Standards.
-    Assist with the roll-out and ongoing support of Training and Competency Assurance initiatives.
-    Develop in-house training aids / materials / presentations / quick guide references / etc. to support users of the range of Training and Competency Assurance applications.
-    Provide support and guidance to others within the organization on matters pertaining to administration of the Training processes and procedures.
-    Identify new training requirements and facilitate the development of training material.
-    Participate and facilitate reviews and audits of competency assurance methods and outcomes, and assists with developing opportunities found from these reviews.
-    Actively seeks training / competency process improvements and works towards the deployment of these.
-    Coach team members in the use of all work processes and systems associated with Competency Assurance.
-    Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor/manager
