On May 14th, 2022, ManpowerGroup Vietnam, as a global world leader in innovative workforce solutions, together with some 30 leading companies from various industries, joined the Career Fair 2022 at Foreign Trade University in Ho Chi Minh city (also known as FTU2). As an annual activity since 2012 by the FTU2 Student Union, the event was aimed at delivering career orientation and preparation for students, expanding their skills and network and most ideally, helping them land internship and full-time positions after graduation. The Career Fair 2022 by FTU received great attention and witnessed the participation of around 2,000 students from FTU and other universities.
On the morning of the event day, nine experienced recruitment consultants from ManpowerGroup Vietnam conducted 1:1 session with approximately 150 students regarding curriculum vitae preparation and career orientation. With pre-prepared CVs in hands, the students listened to advice on specific areas of improvement by the consultants. More importantly, they learned on what employers look for in an entry-level resume.
In addition, each participating student was given a Job Application Handbook in which ManpowerGroup Vietnam consultants share essential skills notes for searching jobs, reading a job description, preparing for an application and interview, and negotiating salary. In the belief that meaningful, sustainable employment has the power to change the world over the last 70 years, these activities demonstrate ManpowerGroup efforts in helping people get ready for work, upskill and reskill for sustainable careers as well as approach better job opportunities.
