Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute and continually refresh the Business Development strategy and plan for the Vietnam market
- Build and lead the Business Development team and capability in Vietnam
- Drive revenue and profit growth from new business, including brand partner acquisition, channel partner acquisition, and existing relationship expansion or extension
- Manage end-to-end Business Development process, including opportunity origination, proposal development, negotiation, contracting, and onboarding
- Provide accurate and timely reporting on pipeline status, velocity and forecast to country and group stakeholders
- Collaborate with Business Development community in other markets on multi-country opportunities and to deliver consistency in our service offerings, go-to-market approach and partner experience
- Work with functions and product owners to continually develop and enhance our solutions and services based on emerging opportunities and evolving market needs
Key Performance Indicators:
- Net Merchandise Value (MNV) from new business
- Net Profit from new business
- Sales channel coverage of new business
- Value Added Service attachment rates
- Contract tenure
- Contract renewal rate
Qualifications:
- Experience in a Business Development role within a relevant industry or context in Vietnam (e.g eCommerce enabler, digital marketing agency, distributor, consumer brand, eCommerce platform)
- Consistent track record of target achievement across multiple periods
- Ability to deliver results within a scaling and maturing start-up environment
- Deeply interested in people, with strong orientation to develop talent and nurture partner relationships
- Fluency in English required, in Vietnamese is also preferable.
