Company Overview:

A leading player in the renewable energy sector, with a strong focus on onshore wind, offshore wind, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in managing our portfolio development and driving growth in the power sector through mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and self-development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of the company's renewable energy portfolio, with a primary focus on onshore wind, offshore wind, and BESS.
  • Manage all aspects of origination efforts, including market assessment, network development, deal sourcing and screening, technical and commercial due diligence, legal review, deal structuring, and negotiation.
  • Oversee early-stage project development activities, including site assessment, wind measurement, project licensing, financial modeling, environmental studies, and other essential components.
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders, fostering strong relationships with investors, partners, financiers, and sponsors.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive project plans, including project scope, goals, tasks, resources, schedules, budgets, and contingencies.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with state agencies, off-takers, developers, and energy sector associations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in technical, engineering, or business management.
  • 5-10 years of hands-on experience in utility-scale renewable energy and energy storage, with a preference for offshore/onshore wind expertise.
  • Proven track record in project origination and M&A transactions for utility-scale renewable projects (solar, wind, battery storage).
  • In-depth knowledge of early-stage project development and deal closing processes.
  • Excellent command of the English language; previous experience working with international teams or overseas education is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, communication, contracting, financial, interpersonal, and management skills.
