Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the establishment of a full-function sourcing office in Vietnam for production, raw material and other sourcing related functions, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.
- To build, recruit and onboard team for Vietnam office to achieve organizational goals and business growth.
- Collaborate with the Managing Director, Asia and the sourcing leads in home office to strategically plan, develop and retain high-performing team and talents to drive operational excellence.
- Manage and execute robust vendor on-boarding to engage Vendors in strategies and overall objectives and educate on policies and procedures.
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of the Vietnamese market and industries to identify opportunities, develop market strategies, and drive business development initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years related work experience, proven experience in a senior management role in apparel high fashion buying office with extensive knowledge of the Vietnamese market.
- Demonstrate expertise in establishing and managing buying offices in Vietnam, including a deep understanding of apparel sourcing, raw materials, product development cycle, supply chain management and providing support to optimize operations.
- Strong background in developing and maintaining vendor and supplier relationships
- Forward looking leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Highest level of personal and professional integrity and ethics
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal English.
