I. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee a team of engineers, directing their skills and resources to achieve project objectives and improve current product value.
- Actively participate as a member of the department's management team in the new product development process, enhancing communication among cross-functional teams and handling general management and administrative tasks.
- Recruit, nurture, and motivate a highly skilled and responsive engineering workforce, planning for future requirements in both Electronic and Motor teams. Provide training and guidance to team members.
- Prepare project budgets, status updates, and other necessary reports to efficiently manage project activities.
- Collaborate with project and expert teams to ensure the correct development direction and clear product specifications.
- Identify and assess project risks, make informed decisions, and create flawless product designs.
- Allocate resources according to project priorities to ensure on-time and within-budget project releases.
- Review design documentation to ensure compliance with design guidelines and quality system requirements.
- Expand product knowledge through competitive analysis and knowledge capture.
- Drive improvements and cost reductions for existing products.
- Coordinate with program teams to monitor new project development.
- Foster innovation within teams by incorporating creative ideas into products.
- Manage the Motor team, developing new motor platforms and maintaining existing ones to ensure performance.
II. JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Hold a university degree in Electronics or a related field.
- Possess 8 years of experience in small appliance or power tool development.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of experience in leading Electronic engineering projects and/or BLDC Motor design and development.
- Have strong English proficiency, as the role involves frequent communication with international counterparts.
- Exhibit expertise in SMT & PCBA operations, PCBA layout, and Motor design structure.
- Be proficient in using Altium Designer (or Protel99) for schematic circuit and PCB design.
- Understand MCU hardware and software principles.
- Be familiar with safety approval applications such as UL, CSA, CE, BS, and SAA.
- Possess a degree or certificate related to Motor design, which is considered an advantage.
- Have a strong Electronic & Motor engineering background with in-depth knowledge of Power Tools, also advantageous.
- Be proficient in computer skills, including Windows, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project.
- Demonstrate effective communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Be independent, proactive, hardworking, and a self-starter.
III. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
