JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Head of Logistics
Reports to: COO/General DirectorWorking Place: HCM
As Head of Logistics, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing end-to-end logistics strategies to support Company’s rapid retail expansion. This role is critical in ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and customer-centric supply chain operations across our nationwide network of stores.
1. Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Logistics Management
- Lead the development and execution of logistics and distribution strategies aligned with Company’s growth plan.
- Build and manage the logistics operating model (central DCs, cross-dock, transportation network) that supports store replenishment efficiency.
- Forecast and plan logistics capacity in line with new store openings and network expansion.
- Oversee the daily operations of multiple DCs, including inbound, outbound, inventory, and quality control.
- Ensure SOPs are developed, implemented, and regularly reviewed for compliance and efficiency.
- Maintain safety, hygiene, and cold chain standards across DCs.
- Design and optimize nationwide last-mile delivery and inter-DC transportation networks.
- Ensure high service levels (OTIF – On Time In Full) while controlling transportation costs.
- Manage 3PL vendors and monitor SLA performance and KPIs.
- Drive the implementation and enhancement of WMS, TMS, and other logistics systems.
- Leverage data analytics for demand forecasting, route planning, and inventory visibility.
- Continuously improve logistics performance through automation, digitalization, and lean practices.
- Build, lead, and coach a high-performing logistics team.
- Lead vendor negotiations and long-term logistics partner management.
- Establish KPIs, dashboards, and reporting systems for monitoring performance.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related fields.
- At least 10 years of experience in supply chain/logistics roles, preferably in retail, FMCG, supermarket, minimarket, or convenience store chains.
- Proven experience managing multi-DC operations and nationwide transportation networks.
- Strong leadership, vendor management, and strategic planning capabilities.
- Knowledge of logistics systems: WMS, TMS, ERP (SAP preferred).
- Fluent in Vietnamese and proficient in English (written and verbal).
- Experience in setting up new DCs or supply chain networks is a strong advantage.
