1. Key responsibilities:
Strategy, Direction & Leadership
  • Work with the BoD and Management Team to provide strategic leadership to shape, deliver and actively promote the environment and school culture that is consistent with the ethos and expectations
  • Contribute to the development of the overall vision and values and ensure that students, staff and parents all understand and subscribe to the vision and values
  • Work closely with the Management Team to ensure effective implementation of the school’s development and improvement plan
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with the BoD based on mutual respect, trust, confidentiality under a clear understanding of the distinction between school management and governance
Portfolio Management & International Study Path Development
  • Ensure that school’s international program is providing an advanced, progressive, and creative educational experience for students to develop both their talents and personalities. Be responsible for the delivery of the international program and the maintenance and development of the highest possible academic standards
  • Develop an international program offerings portfolio attached to current study path. Lead the roadmap for preparation and launching new programs.
  • Ensure high quality teaching and learning, oversee the development of assessment and tracking systems to monitor and evaluate students’ progress, achievement and attainment
  • Provide quality assurance of the teaching and learning throughout the international program.
Whole School Function  
  • Promote an exceptional & differentiated Student Life, ensure that students’ personal development is effectively promoted through the curriculum, ECA, experiences and other enrichment activities
  • Implement & regularly review Quality Assurance framework
  • Manage the international accreditation roadmap of the school
  • Develop a School’s Learning & Assessment Center for teacher & staff. Ensure that professional development is available for all and linked to the school's development priorities and staff’s competency framework
  • Remain up to date with changes in educational theory and subject requirements. Establish and regularly review all academic policies, curriculum documents and schemes of work
  • Be the ambassador for Social Responsibility program to bring inspirational impact to community and society at large
  • Develop Studying Abroad & College Readiness center. Assist with the guidance and advisory of students on university applications and placements overseas
  • Be the “reliable person” for Expatriate Management in terms of mentoring, working culture, feedback & engagement with foreign teachers and staff
Student Admissions & Employee Branding
  • Represent the school at educational and other appropriate events
  • Participate in recruiting, evaluating and retaining highly qualified teachers and staff
  • Promote and market the school in support of student admissions and staff recruitment, actively take part in consulting process with potential students and parents.
2. What distinguishes you:
Education & Training
  • Have solid background in education and management
  • Advance Degree in Education/Education Management and appropriate teaching qualification. A proven track record in educational leadership with all relevant professional qualifications
  • Evidence of relevant and continuing professional development regarding e.g. K-12 education, teaching & learning approach, international accreditation, international curriculum implementation…
Experience (type of)
  • At least 3 years of senior leadership experience, have working experience in Asia culture would be an advantage.
  • Have experience in similar role in K-12 bilingual/ international schools. Teaching experience in an International School offering the Cambridge IGCSE/ AS /A-Level or International Baccalaureate Program is desirable
  • Experience in managing performance of staff, especially expatriates, senior or middle level managers
  • Experience in highly effective relationship management with a variety of stakeholders
  • Experience or understanding of academic and operation in an international-mixed-national K-12 school
Specific knowledge/ skill
  • Having experience in or familiar with CIS accreditation and/or other international accreditation inspection and evaluation frameworks for K-12 school
  • Knowledge and understanding of child development and its impact on behaviours
  • Have the ability and willingness to inspire others; leading by example, role modelling the school’s vision and mission statements. Collaborate with a diverse team of teachers, administrators and other school personnel.
  • Be flexible and capable of managing change and instilling high standards
  • Be highly motivated, ambitious and collaborative and willing to take the initiative
  • Demonstrate empathy, humility and care about staff and students, taking time to support and motivate them
