JOB SUMMARY
  • The Head of Strategy role is tasked with overseeing corporate strategy, project management, legal, procurement and administration. Working closely with the CEO of GalaxyJoy to take charge of implementing and managing the strategic roadmap, financial modelling, internal budget management and have a deep knowledge of the legal environment to guide the company through uncertainties. 
  • Key targets will be to ensure organizational sustainable growth and efficiency building.  This also includes initiatives and programs as well as to handle the internal and external communications with employees and clients through speeches, reports and newsletters.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Act as confidant and sparring partner to the CEO on the company’s strategic priorities. Be an extension and filter in the information funnel;
  • Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives, facilitate special projects, and ensure action items are executed on behalf of the CEO and executive team;
  • Manage organisational OKRs framework and develop new KPIs / dashboards. 
  • Prepare, build and run cadence for leadership meetings, board meetings, and leadership off-sites, including structuring and helping to deliver company-wide communication;
  • Improve collaboration between broader management team on cross-functional projects - facilitating and promoting integrated project management;
  • Develop and update the strategies on a periodic cadence, including identifying and prioritizing major cross-functional initiatives by synthesizing:
o Internal business performance and competencies
o External trends (market, customer, competitor, regulatory, technological etc)
  • Lead the strategic planning work stream which includes setting up the strategic objective, resource allocations, and other relevant aspects of the planning-to-execution metrics; and ensure follow-through of the functional deliverables via discussions, updates and action-tracking
  • Track and analyze KPIs related to all initiatives and quickly build countermeasures closely working with cross-functional and cross Sovico group entity teams
  • Bridge business opportunities with product development via a keen grasp of the business imperatives and clear understanding of the possibilities and / or limitations of technology and regulatory framework
  • Lead the development of experimental business opportunities including development of baseline capabilities, definition of the parameters of success, and ensuring smooth transition to operations
  • Align company organizational structure to achieve strategic objectives including identification of internal capabilities to be developed or strengthened
  • Assess proposals for all major initiatives to ensure judicious investment of company resources in line with strategic direction.
  • Actively and independently engage with senior executives to identify new opportunities and to seek alignment on strategic priorities
  • Influence a high-performance company culture by challenging critical business assumptions and encouraging cross-functional collaboration
  • Drive coherence across functions and business units in order to achieve strategic objectives, including with product, engineering, operations, partnerships function

REQUIREMENTS
 
A. Qualifications & Working experience
  • BA/BSc or above in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics or any related field is highly desirable
  • 7+ years experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, private equity or being a (strategy) operator in a high-growth scale-up; 3+years in similar capacity
  • Having experience in Loyalty Program or digital business/ digital banking/ e-commerce is a plus, as is experience with scaling digital products (in a corporate venture or startup setting)
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
