HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
Location: Hanoi
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for the efficient administration and management of the Human Resources function to include recruiting, training, disciplinary action, policies and procedures, wage/benefit administration, compliance with statutory requirements and the execution of employee relation activities, in order to provide each department with the personnel, guidance and support necessary to achieve their customer service and business objectives.
ADMINISTRATION
a) Management of personnel files, on the basis of incoming, hiring, transfer, promotion, resignation and other modification data.
b) Compiles the operational staffing schedule / manning guide in co-ordination with GM.
c) Compiles accident statistics and handles all relevant accident reports.
d) The HRM shall designate executive positions that cannot be staffed by him/herself in the manning guide. He/she shall administrate copies of qualifications for all executive positions.
e) Updating of personnel manuals, of salary, bonus, work and Employee books, etc.
f) Be familiar with regulations and personnel guidelines issued by regional or corporate administration and ensures that they are applied accordingly, including OSM.
g) Strict adherence to legal regulations and work permit re. foreign expert employees.
h) Conducts job application correspondence and sees to due and proper answering and filing of all documents, applications adverts, etc.
i) Co-ordinates and initiates yearly performance evaluations at all staff levels.
j) Assist HOD for staff promotion and salary adjustment procedures.
k) Orders and organizes long service awards, diplomas and certificates in good time as per MHR policies.
l) Sees to insurance administration, notifies superior in case of deviation or irregularity.
m) Ongoing information of personnel re. Problems, changes and other news.
n) Maintains a monthly overview of vacation- and public holiday balance of all staff and delivers a monthly consolidated summary to the relevant supervisors.
o) He/she is familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the relevant Operational Standards Manual for his/her field of responsibility.
PERSONNEL ORGANISATION
a) Ensures proper job descriptions are available for all functions, continuously adapts them in co-ordination with relevant supervisors to operational requirements.
b) Sees to due and proper filing of work procedures and operational rules. Adapts them to new situation and requirements whenever necessary.
c) Provide counsel with managers regarding human resources related matters and practices.
d) Organize hotel’s social and leisure activity in co-ordination with Department Heads for the personnel.
e) Supervise the operation of hotel clinic including medical insurance activity.
f) Supervise Canteen operation and service quality
HIRING / REMUNERATION / DISMISSAL
a) Be responsible for recruiting in co-ordination with the various Department Heads.
b) Analyses the working atmosphere and discusses possible improvements with the Department Heads and supervisors and submits to GM.
c) Supervises adherence to remuneration guide lines and discusses any deviations with GM.
d) Surveys remuneration and social benefit policies of other competitors and compares them with our policies, on a yearly basis.
e) Conducts Exit Interviews with all resigning employees to establish reason patterns for resignation.
TRAINING
Ensure general orientation will be conducted to all newcomers.
GENERAL
a) Keep updated information and make sure implementation of Labor laws and Tourism regulations.
b) Maintain relationship with the related local authorities.
c) Conduct meeting and assist Governmental authorities to all kinds of inspections.
d) Build relationship with outside hotel schools to promote hotel image and develop source of candidate for the hotel
Minimum qualifications
- University Degree.
- Minimum of 5 years Human Resources experience in Hotel or related position
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management is an advance or equivalent relevant management experience.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Vietnamese with strong computer skills.
- Initiative, courteous, hard working and attentive to details.
