Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Safety Expert with over 20 years of experience in the Oil and Gas and Petrochemical industries. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of industry-specific safety standards and regulations, a proven track record in improving safety performance, and exceptional leadership skills. This role involves leading safety initiatives, conducting thorough risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programs and policies tailored to the Oil and Gas and Petrochemical industries.

- Ensure alignment with local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards.

- Lead regular risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential safety issues.

- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of all personnel and facilities.

- Oversee investigations into accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes.

- Recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.

- Coordinate emergency drills and ensure all employees are trained in emergency response protocols.

- Stay updated on changes in safety regulations and standards within the Oil and Gas and Petrochemical industries.

- Ensure the organization’s safety practices are in line with the latest regulatory requirements.

- Work closely with other departments to integrate safety practices into all operations.

- Communicate effectively with management, employees, and external stakeholders on safety matters.

Qualifications:

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

· Experience: Minimum of 20 years of experience in safety management within the Oil and Gas and Petrochemical industries.

· Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety regulations and standards.
