Senior Executive of Legal and Compliance
Job Responsibilities
- Draft / review and participate in the negotiation of commercial contracts / agreements and ensure documents comply with the Company’s regulations and the law.
- Prepare and standardize internal legal documentations and procedures.
- Provide legal advices for the Company to ensure that the legal and overall objectives are met.
- Compile dossiers, documents and official letters as requested by the line manager
- Liaise with relevant departments to ensure that where legal risks have been identified, appropriate courses of actions have been taken.
- Continuously monitor and update changes in applicable laws and regulations, make impact assessment report thereon.
- Prepare and conduct internal legal training.
- Take part in resolution of claims and disputes related to the Company as assigned.
- Involve in drafting, revising, formulating, updating and implementing the Company’s provisions.
- Support to prepare and administer the compliance in the Company, handle all compliance enquiries as required.
- Monitor and identify possible areas of legal and compliance risks and follow-up corrective action plans.
- Other legal and compliance assignment as requested from time to time.
Requirements
- Holder of Law Degree.
- 2-3 years’ relevant professional experience in a law firm, in-house legal counsel, preferably non-life insurer.
- Knowledge and experience in insurance laws and operation.
- Fluently in English (both spoken and written).
- Familiar with common office software’s such as MS Word, Excel, Internet Outlook Express.
- Strong analytical, logical, problem solving skills, and service oriented mindset.
