About the Role: We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Business Analyst (BA) to work closely with our Java development squads and the Delivery Lead to drive successful project outcomes. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, ensuring clarity, alignment, and quality throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Delivery Lead and development squads to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear, concise, and structured documentation, including user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, such as API specs, data models, and system architecture overviews.
  • Facilitate workshops, sprint planning, and backlog grooming sessions with stakeholders and development teams.
  • Act as a liaison between offshore teams and Australian stakeholders, ensuring consistent communication and alignment.
  • Assist in UAT planning and coordination, ensuring that delivered features meet business expectations.
  • Continuously improve documentation standards and delivery processes.

Your skills and experience
  • From 5 - 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a technology-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, particularly Agile/Scrum.
  • Proven ability to create high-quality documentation for both business and technical audiences.
  • Experience working with technical teams, especially in Java-based environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in tools such as Jira, Confluence, Lucidchart, or similar.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with distributed or offshore teams.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, data structures, and system integration concepts.
  • Prior experience engaging with Australian clients or similar markets.
