The Energy Auditor plays a key role in evaluating and analyzing energy systems within various facilities to uncover opportunities for enhancing energy efficiency and reducing costs. This position involves conducting comprehensive energy audits, assessing power quality, exploring renewable energy options, and providing clients with actionable strategies to improve energy usage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Energy Audits:
- Perform energy audits in compliance with Vietnamese industry standards and legal requirements.
- Inspect mechanical systems, energy management systems, electrical systems, lighting, water usage, and building structures.
- Analyze historical energy consumption at customer sites, particularly in industries and factories, utilizing tools like data loggers and power analyzers to design optimal energy-saving configurations.
- Develop schematic design documents, specifications, and detailed scopes of work.
- Assess HVAC systems and factory utilities, such as motors, compressors, blowers, and lighting, including lux level measurements.
- Conduct power quality and harmonic studies, comparing findings against standards like IEEE 519-2014.
- Compile and analyze audit data, preparing comprehensive reports on audit outcomes.
- Client Support and Regulatory Compliance:
- Present audit findings and actionable recommendations to clients.
- Provide cost-benefit analyses of energy-saving opportunities.
- Assist clients in identifying energy efficiency projects, estimating costs, energy savings, and returns on investment.
- Educate clients on energy-saving behaviors and opportunities for reducing consumption and costs.
- Stay informed on relevant legislation and regulations affecting energy audits and energy efficiency.
Requirements:
- Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Certification: Certification from recognized institutions, such as VNEEP (Vietnam), BEE, AEE, CEM, LEED, or equivalent.
- Language: Proficiency in English
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience, including 1-3 years as an Energy Auditor or Energy Efficiency Engineer.
- Expertise in:
- Energy consumption in factories and billing processes.
- Electrical distribution networks and power quality measurements.
- Power factor measurements at various points within a factory.
- Thorough knowledge of:
- HVAC systems and factory utilities (motors, compressors, blowers, boilers, etc.).
- Lighting requirements and lux measurements.
- Waste disposal systems in factories.
- Renewable energy systems, particularly rooftop solar.
