Key Responsibilities

 

1.Collaboration Across Departments:

 

  • Partner with departments including Sales, Marketing, HR, Corporate Affairs, Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, and Finance to address various legal issues independently.
  • Provide legal guidance to resolve customer complaints, contract disputes, and terminations.
  • Oversee and manage significant legal matters across all departments, including government audits, crisis management, and compliance issues.
  • Proactively anticipate internal and external changes that could impact the company.
  • Stay updated on legislative changes and conduct legal training sessions.
  • Participate in industry forums and research best practices from other multinational companies to enhance our legal strategies.

 

2.Contract Management and Policy Oversight:

 

  • Manage contract policies, focusing on standardization, simplification, automation, and overall management.
  • Review, approve, and standardize contracts.
  • Lead negotiations for complex and high-value contracts.
  • Develop and maintain standardized templates for agreements, ensuring they are regularly updated to meet business needs.

 

3.Sales & Marketing Promotion Compliance:

 

  • Manage overall promotion activities to mitigate tax risks, including VAT issues.
  • Provide legal advice to Sales and Marketing regarding the organization and compliance of promotional programs, including pre- and post-registration procedures.
  • Coordinate with local and central government officials to ensure all legal requirements for promotional programs are met within the agreed timelines.

 

3.Intellectual Property and Competition:

  • Act as the main contact for issues related to intellectual property and competition.

 

4.Debt Collection and Litigation:

  • Oversee the management of bad debt collection and litigation processes.

 

5.Simplification and Innovation Initiatives:

 

  • Collaborate with Finance Controllers, CFO, and business partners to propose and implement initiatives for simplification and standardization of internal processes, policies, and contracting guidelines.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance processes and policies in line with the company’s vision and business demands.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve process quality and efficiency.

 

6.Team Building and Support:

  • Support team members in achieving goals and targets.
  • Propose initiatives for simplifying and improving execution processes.

 

Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience as a lawyer, either in private practice or in a similar role within a multinational corporation.
  • Strong skills in drafting and negotiating contracts in both English and Vietnamese.
  • Ability to provide clear and reliable advice to other departments.
  • Strong influencing skills, result-oriented, with a focus on change management.
  • Demonstrates independence, excellent communication, and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in advanced English.
  • Basic computer skills.
