Main Responsibilities
- Automation process performance
- Machine trouble shooting
- Preventative maintenance
- Monitor daily operation & ensure automation production follows P2i procedures
- Site installation, set up and production training to operators
- Machine upgrade, assembly & validation
- Daily, weekly and Monthly machine maintenance checks
- Replacement of consumable materials and stock replenishment
- Machine quality issue identification, escalation & suggestion for improvement
- Product coating performance quality issue identification & correction
- Update production, maintenance, upgrade & validation records
Additional Responsibilities
- Support other sites by travel when assigned
- Involve in NPI trial run to transfer from pilot stage to mass production
- Provide back up to the PEVD engineers
- Ensure Health, Safety & Environmental requirements are met at all times
- Reporting of machine performance and uptime.

Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering / Industrial Automation / Automation Control / Electric Automation/ or equivalent.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Knowledge of PLC operation and debugging.
- 3 years skill and experience with Automation equipment
- Demonstrated capability of machine electro-mechanical problem solving and troubleshooting.
- Broad technical skills (electrical/electronic/mechanical)
- Ability to perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic & vacuum processing & validation
- Flexibility to travel when assigned
- Detail-oriented in data recording (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and Root Cause Analysis
- Medium level in written and oral English
- Basic Excel/word (MS Office) skills and ability to create reports
Desirable
- 3 years or above in a similar position in automation/production environment in thin film or nanocoating production such as SMT, CVD, PVD, etc.
- Knowledge of Vacuum Coating Process & RF.
