Job description
Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence
- Efficiently manage the Accounting team to ensure accuracy of output and compliance to standards & controls as they perform their respective roles.
- Ensure that all issues, complaints and feedback are handled properly and with sense of urgency.
- Provide guidance to employees to ensure understanding of and compliance to company policies, systems & procedures.
- Comply with the Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Provide financial inputs, recommendations & analyses to the company’s board of management necessary for their business decision making.
- Participate in develop the business plan for new investment project and implement supports to the project. Ensure sufficient fund available for project development.
- Identify the potential exposures business transaction and provide optional solvents.
- Identify deficiencies and inefficiencies in the various processes and present solutions
- Set up master data, configuration ERP system. Set up EPR process, organise training and monitor the implementation of the end users.
- Internal Controls
- Ensure that adequate controls are in place and compliance is achieved at all times.
- Implement the company policies and any deviation/(s) noted are immediately acted upon.
- Recommend policies necessary to ensure company asset safety, data and performance integrity at all times.
- Provide immediate feedback to the line managers and headquarters on any issues related to systems, process & procedure compliance.
- Identify deficiencies and inefficiencies in the various accounting and reporting processes and present solutions
- Provide necessary support and guidance, whenever necessary, to ensure that system users execute the processes and procedures correctly and on time.
- Maintain accounting controls by establishing a chart of accounts; defining accounting policies and procedures
- Maintain financial security by monitoring internal controls.
- Financial Reporting Accuracy & Timeliness
- Review the Financial Statement and Management Reports with a view toward continuous process improvement, assuring accurate analysis, cut off and reconciliation of the financial statement for the parent companies and its subsidiaries and timely submission in Companies level and reporting to Head quarter.
- Provide financial insights, which will help in the improvement of the financial results.
- Provide financial information necessary for making financial projections and estimates.
- Review the Balance Sheet and General ledger Accounts analysis and ensure the timely disposition on reconciling items or errors.
- Participate in develop the business plan for new investment project and implement supports to the project. Ensure sufficient fund available for project development.
- Statutory Compliance
- Implement the most efficient tax payment application.
- Ensure that all tax payments are valid, accurate and timely.
- Identify tax exposures, initiating the tax saving, tax planning by identifying the company legal position, applicable rules and chances for company’s operation.
- Review and submit on time all reportorial requirements to the government.
- Interface with local tax consultants & government agencies to ensure compliance, as necessary.
- Update the team on new tax rulings and applications.
- Prepare, update, complete and submit all necessary records, schedules, analyses and ledgers for year-end audit purposes.
- Settle related audit/tax issues promptly and accurately.
- Avoid legal challenges by understanding current and proposed legislation; enforcing accounting regulations; recommending new procedures.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- People Development
- Develop Accounting team goals that are fully aligned with the Company’s goals.
- Lead and provide coaching, guidance and support, set professional development plans to assist staff to reach their full potential.
- Ensure the team delivers the highest standard of customer service raising the bar of performance through the Performance Management System.
- Enhance competency of accounting support by providing appropriate and continuous training, possible cross posting and other developmental programs
Requirements:
- Qualification
- Bachelor of accounting is required
- Experience
- Familiar with the Vietnamese Accounting Standards and Stock Exchange disclosure requirement
- Preferably familiar with the International Financial Reporting Standards
- Ideally manager position with big 4 accounting firm or finance manager from corporate level with at least 5 years working experience;
- Skills
- Familiar with ERP system
- Language
- Good command of both spoken and writing English and Vietnamese
