Job Title: Commercial Project Management Officer
Location: Hanoi, Vietnam
 


Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Commercial Project Management Officer to join our team in Hanoi. The role is critical to ensuring high-quality project reporting and compliance with commercial execution standards. You will collaborate closely with the Project Manager to safeguard the commercial interests of the company and ensure successful project delivery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure quality and compliance in commercial project reporting.

  • Represent the company’s commercial interests during project execution.

  • Support the Project Manager (PM) in creating project execution plans, focusing on invoicing, cash receipts, and contract/claim management.

  • Develop and maintain project budgets based on Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).

  • Maintain accurate cost forecasting by updating budgets in line with project progress.

  • Coordinate with the Finance team to manage financial instruments (e.g., guarantees, payment securities).

  • Analyze and interpret complex EPC contracts.

  • Lead risk analysis, mitigation strategies, and ensure financial reflection of risk positions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, site) to identify and manage claims/change orders.

  • Evaluate the cost and schedule impact of claims/change orders and lead negotiations with the customer.

  • Build and manage customer relationships with a focus on commercial and contractual matters.

  • Prepare detailed project status reports in line with corporate requirements.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a commercial or finance-related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in commercial project management, preferably in EPC environments.


Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong sense of responsibility and a proactive, independent work ethic.

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

  • Solid understanding of business development tools, such as market and competitor analysis.

  • Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
