Position                        : Customs Affairs Supervisor

Working Place          : Long An  

Working time            : 6 days/week


About the Role:

Our client — a leading company in e-commerce — is seeking a Customs Affairs Supervisor.  

Job Responsibilities
1. Customs Policy Collection and Analysis: Interpret and study regulations and policies related to cross-border trade; timely track policy changes from overseas legislative bodies, customs, taxation, and other regulatory authorities; analyze related impacts; regularly produce customs policy reports and collaborate with internal teams to develop response strategies.
2. Daily Customs Declaration and Clearance Management (including Exception Handling): Monitor Vietnam customs declaration and clearance processes; identify, monitor, and mitigate relevant risks. Provide effective solutions for issues encountered in customs clearance of bonded warehouses in Vietnam to improve efficiency and formulate optimization plans to reduce costs.
3. Vietnam Customs Clearance Process Optimization: Identify operational key issues; develop and implement business and system optimization solutions.
4. Management of Vietnam Vendors (Customs Brokers, etc.): Develop collaboration strategies, conduct business training, manage requirements, and perform performance evaluations.
5. Bonded Warehouse Ledger Management: Analyze discrepancies in warehouse ledgers and make necessary adjustments to maintain ledger balance.
6. Maintain good relationships with local customs authorities.
Qualifications:
1. Education Background: Bachelor’s degree or above; majors in Customs, Logistics, International Trade or related fields preferred.
2. Work Experience: At least 3 years of customs operations experience; experience in customs declaration operations or cross-border e-commerce customs management is preferred.
3. Skills and Expertise: Proficient in Vietnam customs operations, including import/export clearance and product classification; solid knowledge of other customs-related skills such as taxation, import/export controls, preferential policies, and origin management. Preference given to candidates holding customs broker certification or passing intermediate-level customs competency tests.
4. Language: Proficient in business communication in both Chinese and Vietnamese is a must.
5. Optimistic and outgoing; strong communication skills; responsible and able to work under pressure; excellent organizational and coordination abilities; team-oriented spirit.
