The Demin Water_ Wastewater Treatment Operator is responsible for the safe, reliable, efficient and economical operation of the Balance of Plant which includes the RO Plant, Demineralizer Facility, Water Pre-Treatment, Wastewater Treatment Equipment Circulating Water System and Condensate Polishing Plant. Ensures the chemical analysis of water; operation and maintenance of both pre-treatment and water treatment plants, chemical dosing equipment, purification equipment and steam/water analysis system to ensure continuous and adequate production and treatment of water for the daily Plant Operational requirements.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:
• Responsible for daily monitoring of process water during plant operation. Conducts proper sampling and analysis of steam and water. Evaluates laboratory results of water chemical analyses and initiates chemical dosing if necessary. Prepares technical reports on daily water chemistry.
• Evaluates properties of water treatment chemical deliveries used in the pre-treatment, demineralization, and boiler water treatment to check conformity with standard specifications.
• Monitors the operation and maintenance of clarification & filtration processes of freshwater treatment plant including demineralization process to ensure proper demineralized water inventory as required by plant operation. Supervises the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plant ensuring water discharge to environment as per Vietnam Environmental requirements and regulations. Issues needed work orders.
• Maintains and calibrates common laboratory equipment, apparatus, and facilities.
• Report all equipment maintenance requirements to the Shift Chemist.
• Assists chemical team in updating work instructions, staff training on water chemistry/laboratory techniques & water treatment operations/maintenance.
• Maintains the Electro Chlorination Process (ECP) to ensure minimal biofouling and hypochlorite system is performing to meet optimum output.
• Responsible for the reliable operations of the Circulating Water system equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Shift Chemist.

• Water Treatment Plant (SWRO, Chemical dosing, Demineralizers, sanitary system, potable water, BWRO)
• Wastewater Treatment Plant (Clarifier, Coagulation and Flocculation ponds, Oily Water Separator, air blowers, sludge transfer.
• Electro Chlorination Plant (Rectifiers, dosing control, acid cleaning process)
• Circulating Water facility (CW pumps, TBS, Trash Rake, Wash system)
• LDO unloading
• Bulk chemical unloading and distribution
• CPP(Condensate Polishing Plant)
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
• Graduate of any technical vocational course preferred
• Must have completed all area qualification cards and demonstrated proficiency in all operating areas in the Demi Waste Water process.
• Must be able to work independently with minimum or no supervision.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• At least 4 years’ experience working in an industrial environment desired. Water treatment experience a plus.
• Beginner level communication skills in the English language (verbal) desired.
