- Our Client, a top offshore service provider would like to seek for Derrick Pipelay Barge (DLB) Specialist for Onshore in Viet Nam and Vessel/Barge Fabrication Yard working unit.
- We are Seeking an experienced Derrick Pipelay Barge (DLB) Specialist with over 10 years of expertise in design, new build, or conversion, and a proven track record of completing at least 02 DLB projects. Operational management experience is a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the delivery of DLB, ensuring timely completion within budget while meeting quality and performance standards.
- Act as the primary liaison for shipyards, design teams, suppliers, and classification societies, ensuring smooth stakeholder coordination.
- Oversee the integration of heavy-lift cranes (up to 3000mt) and subsea pipeline installation systems, ensuring compliance with international regulations.
- Supervise construction, sea trials, and acceptance tests to validate vessel performance and compliance.
- Lead risk assessments and resolve technical and operational challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee procurement processes, vendor selection, and contract negotiations for critical equipment and systems.
- Develop standardized operational procedures for post-delivery maintenance and facilitate a smooth transition to regular operations.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Derrick Pipelay Barge (DLB) design, construction, or conversion, with at least 2 completed projects (detailed project experience required).
- (Preferred) Experience as an Operation Manager for DLB or similar vessels.
- In-depth knowledge of offshore construction technologies, heavy-lift crane systems (up to 3000mt), and subsea pipeline installation.
- Strong project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination; PMP certification is an advantage.
- Familiarity with international maritime regulations (IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL) and compliance standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team coordination abilities, with experience working with international shipyards and equipment suppliers
