Duties and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:
• Perform safe and efficient operation of the FGD systems and equipment from outside
the control room.
• Perform start-up, operation, and shutdown of equipment, systems, and the plant in
accordance with approved plant procedures and as directed by the FGD Control Room
Operator.
• Monitor and record local operating parameters and make adjustments to maintain
safe and efficient operation.
• Conducts sampling, testing and interpreting analysis. Coordinates activities with other
field operators, maintenance and laboratory personnel. Maintains operating logs,
takes readings and housekeeping.
• Observes reports, troubleshoots, and correct situations that are likely to develop into
operational problems or safety hazards.
• As authorized by the FGD Control Room Operator, perform equipment isolation in
accordance with plant lockout/tagout procedures.
• Report all maintenance activities to the FGD Control Room Operator.
• Participate in scheduled safety meetings and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the FGD Control Room Operator and the
Operations Shift Leader.
