Key responsibilities:
  • Prepare timely and accurate Net Assets Values, yields, distributions, and other fund accounting output for internal users and investors
  • Record accurately, and in accordance with IFRS and the Department policies and procedures, such accounting records as cash, securities positions, corporate actions related, expenses payment, and journal entries
  • Reconcile various accounts vs. custodian bank and fund administration reports, and promptly researching and correcting any variances
  • Identify exceptions and problems affecting accounting records and prices, communicate same to FA team, management, and assist in their resolution.
  • Prepare audit schedules, yearly Financial Statement and Annual Report of funds, PFIC statement to tax authority, or other reports
  • Co-operate with internal and external auditors and regulatory authorities (SSC, HOSE, etc), and undertake in reconciling and distributing reports to marketing, fund administration and portfolio managers
  • Research, as needed, certain securities in Fund portfolios for the purpose of ensuring proper accounting treatment (such as the nature of distributions, original issue discounts, and international valuations) and compliance with IFRS, tax, contracts, and fund’s restrictions and limitations
  • Ensure that proper documentation/ filing are kept for all transactions relating to the Fund and back-up rotation for other fund accountants as business required to ensure team deadlines and/or requirements are being met
  • Participate in team project i.e booking new investment products, producing related reports and issue reports periodically to management on Fund activities and other related issues
  • Participate in the valuation process of OTC/Private Equity deal as well as coordinate with external auditors at year end valuation.
Skills and qualification required:
  • Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in both English and Vietnamese
  • Demonstrate in analytical and quantitative skills
  • Ability to identify, escalate and resolve problems
  • Organizational skills and detail-oriented
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
Experience required:
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in the fields of Finance or Accounting
  • ACCA or CPA is a plus
