As a Production & Quality Specialist, you will be required to travel daily to factory ensuring the company standards are well met. You will be responsible for factory evaluation, smooth production launch, inline, final inspection & self-inspection program.
Responsibilities:
Factory assessment
- Assess the factory quality management system & ensure it meets Boardriders standards
- Visit factory & ensure QMS is maintained over time
- Ensure overall factory performance stability or improvement (FTP, on time rate, claim rate)
Product Development
- Reviews with factory the seasonal development received from product development team & escalate any potential capability, challenges, quality concerns or delivery issues and connect with quality head & vendor manager
- Supports vendor management team to perform WIP tracking, SMS shipment, and random quality check during line visit (sample room or bulk production)
Pre-Production/Production
- Reviews with factory their capacity planning and reports to vendor management team any potential issue
- Reviews with factory the approved T&A (Fabric, Color, Fit, Bulk Testing status) and escalate any potential issue
- Supports the vendor management team to do the WIP tracking on bulk production and random check on the quality during line visit.
- Reviews PP files/track list and randomly participate in PP Meeting for critical/high-risk styles
- Perform inline, final inspection
- Reports to vendor management teams any confirmed findings related to illegal sub-contracting and coordinate next steps
- Conducts training/retraining and certify vendor/factory inspectors to allow them for self-inspections
- Monitor factory’s self-inspection program
Requirements:
- University Graduate
- At least 5 years’ experience as QA in factory, buying office or third party
- Experience in garment, shoes quality
- Good interpersonal skills and team player
- Knowledge of product development and production processes
- Good coordination and planning skills
- Good written and spoken English communication skills
