KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Customer/ Business Partner Relationship Management – Engage to understand the needs of the business to ensure business priorities are fully met.  Initiate opportunities with business partners to save cost and/or time. Share supplier results and spend analytics.
  • Global Sourcing Strategy – Analyze past spend, supplier performance, and conduct market research.  Source suppliers in response to business demands.  Source suppliers of all backgrounds in keeping with company’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.  Conduct any needed RFx projects.  This includes notifying suppliers prior to issuance of RFPs, coordinate supplier communication, finalize evaluation criteria, review supplier responses to RFPs and assess supplier capabilities.  Manage evaluation of supplier options with the business through the selection process.  Negotiate new or renew supplier software contracts and needed statements of work – managing cost and risk for company. Strong redlining and contract skills required with IT software companies.
  • Supplier Management & Development – Share company business strategy and context with suppliers and develop supplier strategy.  Collaborate with suppliers to develop new innovative approach and solutions to support company business needs and challenges.  Manage supplier performance on cost, quality, and serviceability.  Manage issues that arise with suppliers and work on joint problem solving.  Actively assess supplier risk and manage contingency plans and actions, as needed.
  • Category Expertise – Work to understand the industry landscape, competitive landscape, and supplier options on categories requiring this level of procurement investment.  Where impactful to the business, create and manage a strategic category plan that helps guide how to best leverage the supplier capability to benefit company, which could be broader than assigned business unit / need.

REQUIREMENT
  • Bachelor Degree in any discipline
  • 1 - 3+ years Supply Chain, procurement, logistics, industrial engineering and/or operations work experience
