Position Details: 

  • Position Title: Logistics Manager (Customer Service Desk) 

  • Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam 

  • Reporting to: Logistics Manager SEA 

  • Direct Reports: 2 

Position Summary: The Logistics Manager will oversee both logistics operations and customer service desk functions. This role involves strategically planning and managing transportation, warehousing, and international logistics while ensuring customer satisfaction through effective service desk operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills in English. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Logistics Operations: 

  • Manage daily logistics activities: inventory management, import-export, warehousing, and freight operations. 

  • Coordinate transportation: select carriers, negotiate rates, and manage contracts. 

  • Collaborate with internal departments and 3rd party providers to streamline logistics processes. 

  • Conduct site visits to 3rd party providers to maintain strong relationships and monitor ground operations. 

  • Logistics Strategy Development: 

  • Define and implement logistics strategies aligned with service levels. 

  • Establish local logistics structures to support strategic goals. 

  • Set targets and budgets for logistics operations. 

  • Compliance: 

  • Ensure logistics processes comply with legal and regulatory requirements. 

  • Promote a zero-tolerance approach to quality deviations. 

  • Network and Cost Optimization: 

  • Review and reduce logistics costs through continuous improvement. 

  • Optimize local distribution networks, including vendor management, warehousing, and transportation. 

  • Reporting and Data Management: 

  • Analyze logistics and operational costs, recommending efficient solutions. 

  • Monitor 3rd party logistics providers' performance against KPIs. 

  • Maintain master data in SAP for logistics parameters and service contracts. 

  • Initiate master data setup for customers, pricing, and materials. 

  • Customer Service and Complaint Management: 

  • Address logistics-related customer complaints and implement corrective actions. 

  • Act as a liaison for customer inquiries regarding orders, shipments, and documentation. 

  • Ensure high customer satisfaction through collaboration and continuous improvement in order processing. 

  • Efficiency and Continuous Improvement: 

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within local and global teams. 

  • Foster a culture of innovation and efficiency in logistics processes. 

  • People Management: 

  • Lead, motivate, and develop the logistics team. 

  • Ensure training and career development for local talent. 

  • Propose salary adjustments and support succession planning. 

  • Customer Service Integration: 

  • Utilize the customer service desk to resolve logistics-related customer issues. 

  • Reporting: 

  • Prepare and present logistics performance reports and improvement plans. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fields. 

  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, and customer service desk operations. 

  • 2 years of experience in Export Desk functions. 

  • Proficiency in logistics software, with SAP experience preferred. 

  • Familiarity with the textile industry. 

  • Strong English skills (verbal and written); additional languages are a plus. 

  • Proven experience managing 3rd party warehouses, transportation, and logistics operations. 

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). 

  • Strong problem-solving skills: problem definition, data gathering, solution implementation, and success monitoring. 

  • Team player with strong collaboration skills. 

  • Ability to work under pressure.
