Network optimization
- By developing a business case, suggest a new route or form of transportation to purchasing and internal customers.
- Win over regional stakeholders and secure their support for the project
- Implement network design optimization by collaborating with the LSP manager, purchasing, and internal customers.
Consultancy
- Point of contact for any questions internal customers in the area have about a new route or new method of transportation
- Capable of recommending alternate networks or routing based on the resources available in the market and incorporating them into a roadmap for regional network design
Network planning and bidding
- Gather historical shipment information from all ASEAN factories and legal entities, clean it up, and properly analyze it so that it may be used for network design.
- Work with buying to incorporate the volume forecast into the air and sea freight tender after clarifying it with internal customers.
- Suggest the best possible route or mode of transportation based on historical volume and client requirements, such as LCL/LCL/LCLàLCL/FCL/FCL, airàsea, airàtruck, seaàtruck, airàmulti-modal, etc.
- Persuade regional stakeholders and obtain their support for the idea by demonstrating cost savings, CO2 reduction, lead time reduction, etc.
- Assist the LSP manager in allocating volume among awarded LSPs, and ensure that internal clients adhere to the network design proposal throughout LSP onboarding.
Data Management
- Discover a method for gathering as much precise and thorough data from internal stakeholders as is required for network design objectives.
- Establish some master data for the area as a database to enable any network design study, such as incoterms, supplier lists, customer lists, product features, etc.
- Continually digitizing and updating the region's shipment data
- Representative of the ASEAN area in the global team; Work with specialists in other regions' network design to seek for network optimization on a larger scale, such as EU-ASEAN or EMEA-APAC
- Extend ASEAN's best practices to other regions, and the reverse.
Qualifications
- Bachelor/Master Degree in Supply Chain or Logistics Engineering or data science related subjects
- 3 years+ in international transport, preferably with network design experience
- 3 years+ in project management, facing customers
- Ability to work with non-perfect data, and good analytic skills, can identify opportunities from a massive amount of raw data
- Digitization skills for example dashboard, is a plus
- Responsible, professional, careful and high service orientation
- Initiative, excellent communication skills in English, and confident
