Strategy and objectives of plant Hung Yen
P&L responsibilities with cooperation with sales, purchase and finance team
Daily operations management of plant HY, such as production, supply chain, maintenance, quality, process, cost and efficiency, continuous improvement and lean actions.
Team, HR and employee management
Safety, Health and Environment management, compliance with regulations
Satisfactions and reactions to customers and market
RFQ actions and new product/projects development
Process, engineering and innovation
Crisis and risks management
 
Activities
Designs and recommends plans to improve safety, quality, service to customer, cost efficiency.
Overall responsibility for safety work, formulate the annual safety targets. Organize safety work meeting, the deployment of safety work in the next step. Guide the safety work, provide enough funds for corrective actions.
In terms of operations, the position covers: Production, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Manufacturing Process, and Quality.
For the whole site, the position is in charge of supervising Health, Safety & Environment, Excellence System, Facilities, and Human Resources.
Interacts with Asia or Business Units functions to ensure implementation of their plans in coherence. Has interactions with Sales, Purchase, Finance, FMS Asia R&D, Hutchson Asia HR, as well as WW Business Units’ leaders and support teams.
Key responsibilities
  • In charge of managing operations to ensure safety, to deliver customers on time, at cost target, according to the Group’s and the customers’ quality standards.
  • In charge of setting strategies and targets, and ensuring they are met by his teams, in terms of safety, cost control, quality, inventory levels, environment, etc.
  • In charge of setting strategies and targets and ensuring they are met by his teams, in terms of manufacturing process and project development
  • For overall site support: in the following areas, responsible for establishing strategies, policies and procedures; for ensuring execution; for respecting regulations:
    • HSE programs, policies and regulations
    • Staff hiring and lay-off, application of labor law, payroll, staff management, site security
    • Excellence System deployment
    • Quality performance. Key certifications.
    • Installations engineering management
    • Supply chain performance, Customer service.
  • In charge of supervising the preparation of operating budgets and capital expenditure proposals for investments in infrastructure, equipment, systems, other assets and resources.
  • Responsible for analyzing, approving within his delegated limits or submitting to appropriate level approval operational investments that best meet the organization's business needs, or make recommendations to the Executive Committee.
  • In charge of proposing and ensuring implementation of retention, competencies development, performance, motivation and communication plans.
  • Responsible to develop interactions and good relationships with all key stakeholders (customers, Hutchson sales teams, Purchase, Finance, industry associations, sister companies, agents, suppliers).

The Hung Yen Plant Manager is primarily responsible to drive the plant operations to ensure safety, efficiency and performance in accordance with the corporate objectives, strategies and plans.

Required profile
  • Solid work experience as plant manager in automotive tier1 supplier
  • Vietnamese speaking, and English speaking
  • Seasoned team manager, excellent interpersonal skills, mature leadership
  • Knowledge of production, supply chain, maintenance, process, quality, finance, engineering, HSE, lean and staff management
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver result within tight time and resources framework; ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasked and able to prioritize work based on business needs
  • Strong personal ethics, initiative-taker, ability to energize the organization
  • Strong ability to balance hands on management style (shop floor management, project management) and higher view management for longer term plant planning and development
