Report to: Quality Manager

Job Summary:
We are a leading plastic manufacturing company committed to delivering high-quality products to our customers. We maintain strict quality standards across all stages of production to ensure that our products meet the highest industry requirements. We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Officer to join our team and help uphold these standards at our Vietnam factory.

The Quality Control Officer is responsible for inspecting, testing, and monitoring raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet the required quality standards. This role involves identifying and addressing defects or non-conformities in the production process and ensuring that products meet customer specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Product Inspection & Testing:
  • Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Perform physical, chemical, and visual tests on products using appropriate testing equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, hardness testers).
  • Record inspection results accurately and report any discrepancies or defects to the production team.

Non-Conformance Identification:
  • Identify, document, and report any non-conformities or deviations from quality standards during inspections.
  • Work closely with the production team to identify the root cause of defects and help implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain a log of non-conformances and follow up to ensure corrective actions are effective.

Quality Control Procedures:
  • Follow established quality control procedures and ensure they are strictly adhered to by all personnel.
  • Assist in the development and review of quality control protocols to improve consistency and efficiency.
  • Ensure products meet customer specifications, industry standards, and internal quality guidelines.

Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing results, and quality control activities.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality control reports for management review.
  • Ensure all quality records are properly stored and easily accessible for audits.

Collaboration & Communication:
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and other teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
  • Communicate quality issues to the relevant departments and work together to implement corrective actions.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement to enhance product quality and reduce defects.

Sampling & Auditing:
  • Conduct random sampling of products at various stages of production to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Assist in internal quality audits and support external audits as required.

Maintaining Standards:
  • Ensure products are tested in accordance with quality standards, including safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Verify that products meet specifications before they are shipped or delivered to customers.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Control, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certification in Quality Control or related fields (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001) is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years-experienced in Quality Control in Manufacturing Environment
  • Plastic manufacturing industry and/or used to work with Japanese Management will be an advantage
  • Familiarity with quality testing tools and techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and discrepancies in products.
  • Ability to use various inspection and measurement tools effectively.
  • Intermediate Level in English both written and spoken
  • Able to start immediately will be a plus
