- Analyze and assess risks to determine optimal insurance coverage, pricing, and other key requirements that align with company objectives.
- Underwrite facultative reinsurance business in compliance with company guidelines, ensuring quality and accuracy in every decision.
- Take charge of managing the full lifecycle of facultative business, including follow-ups on endorsements, system registrations, and reporting.
- Provide expert guidance on claims-related matters, ensuring smooth resolution and exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive business success and achieve company goals.
- Take ownership of additional facultative reinsurance tasks, adapting to changing needs and ensuring continuous growth.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments, liaising with cedants or brokers for additional clarity when needed.
- Accurately calculate exposure costs, setting terms and conditions that promote long-term profitability and risk management.
- Optimize and manage a high-performing portfolio that aligns with the company’s risk appetite, fostering sustained business growth.
Job Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Insurance, Economics, Finance, Banking, or Business Administration.
- At least 5 years of experience in the insurance/reinsurance industry as a Property Underwriter.
- A strong network within the local insurance market (Direct Insurers/Brokers).
- Experience handling regional responsibilities with comprehensive market knowledge.
- Proven underwriting expertise and familiarity with the SEA market.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a team.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
