Job Description
The Research Associate – Marketing will directly support the Head of Business Development.
Research Responsibilities:
• Conduct research on equity markets, investment themes and stocks in the Asia Pacific Region. The focus is primarily on Japan and Korea. Secondary regions include the U.S., China, Vietnam, India and Australia. This includes:
o Quantitative research. For example, comparing the valuation, profitability and
growth between different markets.
o Qualitative research. For example, examining how government stimulus or
regulatory changes have affected a particular market.
o Company specific: For example, researching CEO backgrounds and board
compositions for a group of companies.
• Make presentations using this research for internal consumption, and distribution to current and potential clients.
Marketing Responsibilities:
• Research the backgrounds of potential clients and create a pipeline of leads for outreach.
• Draft emails to clients and help set up meetings. Track outreach in CRM.
• Help plan marketing trips to visit clients. Organize both virtual and in-person events for clients.
• Participate in meetings with clients and take detailed notes
Requirements
• A deep interest in financial markets and a strong desire to learn about investing.
• Advanced English (minimum: IELTS 6.5 / TOEIC 945 / TOEFL iBT 90, or equivalent).
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
