KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage the commercial success of a group of brands by leading a team of brand managers.
  • Implement retail excellence standard in accordance with brand guidelines to ensure consistency with overall image and service standard of the brands
  • Manage merchandising strategies for each brand’s buying in coordination with brand managers and store managers to optimize stock order to suit market taste and ensure effective inventory management
  • In charge of new brand development and supervise the expansion and implementation of new store opening plans in coordination with related departments

1. DEVELOP AND EXECUTE BRAND STRATEGY FOR VIETNAM MARKET

  • Develops strategy (goals and methods to achieve them) for the year and the next 3 to 5 years in all key domains (Marketing, People, and Operational efficiencies/Financial health of brands) based on data-driven analysis of the brand's and market's demand
  • Plans the future distribution of the local market, improves distribution quality (location/ design/ profitability), and communicates the plan effectively to all stakeholders involved.
  • Ensures that its execution is seamless and that all replated personnels are constantly monitoring and executing it as planned.

2. PROPERLY MANAGES MERCHANDISE & INVENTORY

  • Works closely with the Brand manager team to ensure that each brand and store is stocked with an appropriate depth and width of merchandise that is relevant to the profile of the brand/store’s client
  • Oversees the OTB and buying process and provides guidance to the brand managers team to ensure a good balance between image (VM) and commercial needs
  • Proactively brainstorms with VM, Retail, Marketing, Operation on how to improve sell through

3. OVERSEE MARCOM ACTIVITIES

  • Work closely with marketing and CRM to create and execute marketing calendars for each assigned brand while following brand guidelines
  • Supervise all brands’ periodic promotions, special discounts or offers, corporate or VIC events to increase client acquisitions, traffic and revenues

4. MANAGE KPIs

  • Works with brand managers and store managers to fulfill monthly and yearly KPIs
  • Recommends and enhances incentive / hot bonus schemes to achieve short-term and long-term Service and Sales target
  • Identify and suggest ways to improve service practices and procedures.
  • Implement and organize annual performance reviews, prepare data and assist Retail Director in setting up annual strategy and specific business objectives.

5. OVERSEE STORE AND DEPARTMENT’S OPERATIONAL ASPECTS

  • Ensures all operational procedures regarding sales, discounts, transfers, stock adjustments and all policies are followed.
  • Monitor all the planning of brand events and activation in stores and ensure that the execution is seamless
  • Ensures reports and appropriate paperwork (if still needed) is accurately completed

6. DEVELOPS NEW BUSINESS

  • Actively searching for the new upcoming brands that suitable for the local market and oversee the end to end process from initiating contact to signing distribution contract
  • Supervise the expansion and implementation of new store opening plans in coordination with related departments
  • Keep close relationship with landlord and departmental store partners, so as to update the leasing market information and identify potential locations for new stores
  • Participate in negotiation with landlord for new lease or re-new of lease

7. LEADS AND DEVELOPS RETAIL & STORE TEAM

  • Fosters a cooperative and exceptional team culture by ensuring that team members are engaged, motivated, and carrying out their roles in accordance with the company's vision and goals.
  • Work with HR to find and retain top personnel, create succession plans, and guarantee short and long-term goals are met by recognizing current potential and future talents

Knowledge & Qualificaion

  • 5 – 7 years of experience and proven track record of leading a group of luxury brands in Vietnam.
  • Prosses high level of commercial acumen, self-initiative, combined with a drive for results
  • Excellence in analytical mind, communication and presentation skills
  • Excellence experience in project management and working to deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • BA Degree in Economics or relevant field.
  • An understanding of the value of brands and the ability to communicate brand values.
  • Experience in managing training, mentoring and supervising new team members.
