1. Key responsibilities:
  • Build the long- and short-term trims material supply strategy for all brands factoring in footprint movements, supply models, lead times, profitability, sustainable materials, brand and sourcing needs (>$200M annual spend across more than 100 suppliers)
  • Ensure reliable delivery of trims material on time for production by working closely with material suppliers and finished goods vendors
  • Partner cross-functionally with Materials Labs, Sourcing and Quality team in managing all aspects of trims material quality from establishing guidelines to delivering product to factories
  • Support Material Team by leading resolution of quality issues at factories and with vendors in collaboration with Sourcing and Quality teams.
  • Act as the key liaison for Product Development in all the brands and Sourcing leadership for all material supply related topics
  • Support trims material innovation and capabilities through supplier research and partnership in collaboration with Brand Development and Innovation Teams
  • Increase leverage model through decisions supported by facts and data that will in turn support the trims material supply strategy
  • Lead trims material cost negotiation strategy by establishing cost targets, utilizing fact-based methodology, and driving for positive outcomes in supplier facing discussions
  • Establish annual material cost savings targets, drive initiatives, track progress, and report savings with close collaboration with GMS COE and Finance Team
  • Collaborate with Material Leaders to create, deliver and manage an objective approach to monitor trims supplier performance using scorecards
  • Responsible for leading, managing and owning all trims supplier relationship and building supplier partnerships in the brands
  • Partner with functional leaders on Compliance and Social Responsibility, to ensure standards and requirements are met within the group’s material supply
  • Actively support sustainable material roadmaps through identification of supplier capabilities, capacities and innovative sustainable alternatives
  • Work cross-functionally in selection of global and local suppliers and materials that support material and manufacturing strategies and Product Development objectives.
  • Accountable for all people related activities such as hire, train, manage and develop the talent in the team

  • Minimum Relevant Experience: Experience in Apparel, Footwear, Equipment Trims and/or Sourcing and Supply Chain organizations but not limited to
  • Minimum Supervisory Experience: Proven record of leadership and accomplishment in a global, multi-national environment

  • Academic Qualifications
  • Minimum Degree Held: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Subject Expert In: Textile, Procurement, Supply Chain, but not limited to
