Key Responsibilities:
1. Operation cum Procurement
- Coordinating and monitoring current services provision
- Processing incoming requests from customers
- Conducting commercial assessment of suppliers offers
- Conducting tender procedures, receiving commercial offers from suppliers
- Deciding on supplier selection based on key metrics
- Negotiating contract terms with suppliers, signing agreements, addendums
- Developing and maintaining a list of suppliers incl. defining key metrics (parameters) for supplier selection
- Timely conducting extensive market and supply base research
- Building and offering solutions locally in Vietnam (Pre-carriage/on-carriage, port-handling, contact with supplier/receiver)
- You coordinate door-to-door shipments of project, machinery and consumer goods
- You create the operational file in the companies’ own IT system and ensure a quality A to Z execution and follow up.
- You coordinate the mostly multimodal, and cross trade shipments with your colleagues, agents and suppliers worldwide.
- You keep a clear overview on the various transports within a certain project and maintain a customer-oriented communication and optimal reporting.
- You assist the project & sales team with the follow up of customer RFI, RFP, RFQ’s and tenders.
- You send out rate requests to our suppliers (transport companies, shipping lines, terminals, agents, etc) and negotiate the price and conditions where needed.
- You will cope with identifying and resolving operational issues related to freight movements, such as delays, discrepancies, and logistical challenges.
- You ensure that the desired service performance is met and exceeded
- Developing new products and services/ executing project on new services development
- Creation of optimal logistics solutions for the client, optimization of delivery routes and transportation costs.
- Participation in the preparation for tenders.
- Performing feasibility check of the customer’s request on quotation
- Developing detailed technical solution for product integration, i.e. determining required specific equipment, storage conditions, etc.
- Initiating and executing scenario planning (initiating/ executing solutions optimization, developing new services, and improving existing ones)

Key requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in customer-facing role in an international freight forwarding company or related industry.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Expertise in procurement and related legislation.
- Proficient in supplier negotiation for service/transportation/forwarding selection.
- Understanding of international and local logistics and customs legislation, including FEA and Incoterms.
- Knowledge of transportation standards, cargo handling, and multimodal transport regulations.
- Ability to analyze tariffs, pricing, and professional information to mitigate risks.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to think out-of-box
- English: Fluency.
