Purpose of the Job
Responsible for verifying the functionality and performance of the SOC or an IP or subsystem by working closely with design and software teams to understand the functional & performance goals of the design then develop test plans, tests & coverage plans as well as define verification methodology & test benches.
Main Functions
1 Plan the verification of complex digital design blocks by fully understanding the design specification
and interacting with design engineers to identify important verification scenarios.
2 Create a constrained-random verification environment using System Verilog and UVM.
3 Identify and write all types of coverage measures for stimulus and corner-cases.
4 Debug tests with design engineers to deliver functionally correct design blocks.
5 Close coverage measures to identify verification holes and to show progress towards tape-out.
6 Run regressions, tracking bugs, and analyzing coverage to achieve top results.
7 Contribute individually to SoC design challenges
8 Define and implement new methodologies and processes.
9 Support project managers with effort estimations and resource planning
10 Support team leader in coaching, training and development team members.
Requirements
1 Education Required University and above
2 Major Electrical and Electronics, Computer science
3 Experience At least 3 years of experience in SoC verification.
4 Job related requirements Participated in multiple ASIC/SoC verification till tape out stage.
Deep understanding of various verification processes like coverage driven methodologies, constraint random verification (UVM, OVM …) and be able
to develop complete verification plans based on the specifications.
• Good knowledge about ARM CPUs, AMBA BUSes (AXI, AHB, APB, …),
• strong experience in high-speed IPs (PCIe, USB, Ethernet) and peripheral IPs (SD, UART, IIC, DMA, Timer, …)
• Proficient in Verilog, SystemVerilog, SVA, C, C++
• Proficiency in any scripting language such as TCL/Perl/python etc.
• Excellent design debug and root causing capabilities.
5 Other requirements Good communication and interpersonal skills. Good communication skills in
English and have excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work in large international teams.
