​MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Preparing Detailed Drawings:

+ Creating accurate and detailed drawings of structural components, including beams, columns, foundations, and connections, using computer-aided design (CAD) software.

+ Develop plans, elevations, and cross-sectional views of buildings and structures, highlighting key dimensions, materials, and construction methods.

+ Creating detailed drawings of connections between structural elements including information about welds, bolts, and other fasteners.

+ Adding appropriate annotations, dimensions, labels, and notes to the drawings to provide construction workers with essential information, such as sizes, materials, tolerances, and assembly instructions.

- Interpreting Engineer's Designs: Translating the designs and specifications provided by structural engineers into technical drawings that construction teams can understand easily. This involves comprehending engineering terminology, calculations, and design principles.

- Collaborating with Engineers: Collaborating with structural engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure that the drafted plans align with the intended design and structural integrity requirements.

- Maintaining Documentation: Keeping accurate records of all drafts and revisions, maintaining a clear version history for each project, and archiving the drawings for future reference and documentation.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Educational background in construction-related majors such as Bridge and Road Engineering, Civil Engineering, or similar fields.

- Bachelor's degree is not mandatory; candidates with relevant technical diplomas or certificates will also be considered.

- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar Structural Drafter role, with exposure to shop drawing being advantageous.

- Prior experience with shop drawings, especially in precast, post-tensioned slabs, or structural steel, will be highly regarded.

- Proficiency in reading and comprehending construction drawings and technical documents.

- Strong command of AutoCAD and MS Office applications is essential.

- Familiarity with Revit software is preferred but not mandatory.

- Prior experience working with a Vietnamese consulting company that serves the Australian market is highly preferred.

- Basic English skills to effectively communicate within the team and understand project requirements.
