MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Structural Design: Developing detailed structural designs for buildings, bridges, and other structures using appropriate design codes, standards, and engineering principles. This includes analyzing loads, determining appropriate member sizes, and selecting materials.
- Reinforced Concrete Design: Creating design calculations and drawings for reinforced concrete elements such as beams, columns, slabs, and foundations. Ensuring that the design can withstand expected loads and follow safety guidelines.
- Post-Tensioned Slab Design: Performing analysis and design for post-tensioned concrete slabs
- Structural Steel Design: Designing steel structures including beams, columns, trusses, and connections. Ensuring that designs meet structural integrity requirements and can be fabricated and assembled effectively.
- Design Software Utilization: Using specialized structural design software such as SpaceGass, Structural Toolkit, RAM Concept, Inducta Suite (RCB, SLB, PTD), and others to perform analyses and generate design calculations.
- Drawing and Documentation: Preparing detailed construction drawings and specifications that communicate the design intent to contractors. This includes drawings of structural plans, sections, details, and schedules.
- Collaboration with Drafters: Collaborating with drafting teams to integrate structural designs seamlessly with architectural plans
- Code Compliance: Ensuring that all designs adhere to relevant Australian building codes, standards, and regulations. Keeping up-to-date with any changes in codes that could impact design decisions.
- Quality Control and Review: Reviewing design calculations, drawings, and documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements and engineering standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is mandatory.
- A minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience in structural design.
- Proficiency in designing reinforced concrete, post-tension slabs, and structural steel components.
- Prior experience working with a Vietnamese consulting company that serves the Australian market is highly preferred.
- Basic English skills to effectively communicate with colleagues and understand project requirements.
- Demonstrated hardworking attitude and commitment to delivering top-quality results
