We are seeking a Warehouse Officer to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient handling of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods in a factory environment. This role plays a crucial part in inventory management, warehouse organization, and logistics coordination, supporting production schedules and maintaining compliance with safety and operational standards.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in warehouse operations within a manufacturing setting and possess strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Warehouse Operations & Material Handling
- Supervise daily warehouse activities, including receiving, issuing, storing, and dispatching materials and finished goods.
- Ensure optimal use of warehouse space and adherence to operational and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for material movement, stock checks, and shipment transactions.
- Conduct weekly cycle counts to reconcile physical stock with system records and address discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures and report any deviations promptly.
- Monitor the availability of raw materials and packaging materials to support production schedules.
- Monitor and control warehouse operational costs to stay within budget.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction in inventory handling, storage, and logistics.
- Provide cost analysis reports to support decision-making for warehouse operations.
- Work closely with third-party logistics providers to coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Ensure timely material deliveries to prevent production delays.
- Continuously review and improve warehouse processes to enhance efficiency and reduce material waste.
- Supervise and train warehouse staff, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing workplace safety standards and 5S practices.
- Prepare daily and monthly reports on inventory levels, warehouse activities, safety metrics, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor and report obsolete or rejected materials with recommendations for resolution.
- Track attendance, overtime, and team performance to support workforce planning.
- At least 2 years of experience in warehouse operations within a manufacturing or factory environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management, inventory control, and logistics coordination.
- Ability to work with warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP software.
- Good communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively under high-pressure environments.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to track and analyze warehouse performance metrics.
- Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools is a plus.
