 I. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Manage Environmental Management Systems (EMS) in Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand  

  • Ensure that all the legal requirements for environmental discharge are known and adhered to.  

  • Ensure all reporting to Group and local Environmental Protection Bureaus are correct and timely. 

  • Ensure all environmental certifications, renewals and approvals stay current and updated.  

  • Manage and lead all environmental initiatives and projects in alignment with global strategy.  

  • Ensure effective management systems for our ETP’s in Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand  

  • Ensure proper representation of company at any related government meetings.  

  • To conduct cross internal audit of EMS to other units within Vietnam and Thailand if is required.  

    2. Manage Chemical management systems (CMS) in Vietnam and Thailand  

  • Have updated Chemical inventory list across all sites in Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand  

  • Effective Hazardous Chemical and Hazardous waste management in all sites.  

  • Ensure effective chemical storage, labelling, and handling are undertaken at all locations.  

  • Ensure MSDS’ are all updated, correct, and stored in proper locations.  

  • Ensure Chemical and Material Restricted Substance Lists are valid and action plans for replacement of chemicals are undertaken if necessary.

    3. Corporate Responsibility  

  • Drive Internal CR audit and CAP customer action plans: result is improvement in internal compliance KPI.  

  • Undertake Brand audits and drive CAP in conjunction with Brand to ensure compliance with Brand requirements.  

  • Undertake Supplier audits and drive CAP in conjunction with Suppliers to ensure that the suppliers are fulfilling Group requirements.  

  • Coordinate Supplier Code audits and work with procurement to implement effectively.  

  • Coordinate external compliance and environment audits both for Group and NGO’s, and government departments. Lead associated action plans to completion and make sure that we pass any eventual audit.  

  • Brands data/information reporting and feedback, including Higgs Index, EMeRet etc.  

  • CR and ZDHC data reporting  

  • Organize CR training for suppliers and internally.  

    4. Reporting:  

  • Responsible for coordinating and Sustainability Reporting for all countries in the cluster: Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand

    II. REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Bachelor's degree in a Business or technical field. Engineering or environmental related degrees preferred  

  • Min 3 years of working experience in managing / leading team  

  • Min. 3 years of prior compliance experience management experience in environmental, manufacturing area in medium to large scope  

  • Min. 3-year experience in Social Compliance and Environment auditing, with the resultant driving of CAP. Knowledge of the local and national legislation. Good communication skills at all levels of the organization, externally and internally. Ability to think logically is a prerequisite.  

  • Experience working in Multinational Company  

  • Knowledge and experience for Social Compliance and Environment auditing systems development and deployment, and chemical management knowledge.  

  • Experience understanding, applying and explaining laws and regulations;  

  • Experience preparing narrative reports.  

  • Strong influencing and consensus-building skills  

  • Charting and trend analysis skills  

  • Ability to work cross-functionally to understand and resolve compliance challenges  

  • Leadership and ability to lead people, convince/impact others  

  • Self-starter with good communication skills  

  • Proficiency in English both speaking and writing.
