Job Purpose
Identify the strategic vision for enhancing and applying IT, while researching and proposing leading and pioneering IT solutions aimed at optimizing technology for business operations and company systems in accordance with the company's strategy and policies. The Director must demonstrate clear working principles: manage, direct, and supervise 75% - specialized tasks 25%, without intervening in employees' specialized tasks to provide them opportunities to develop and improve their work.
Job Responsibilities
Research and Development of IT Applications
- Develop medium and long-term IT strategies to ensure the most efficient application of IT in operations, management, and business activities.
- Directly advise and assist company leadership in formulating strategies, policies, plans, and IT application plans within the company.
- Guide, develop, and build new sales channels (online) to capture market share, increase business within the company, and create competitive advantages.
- Direct and supervise the research and implementation of new technologies to modernize and automate management, operational, and business processes across the company.
- Direct the creation of technical and operational management regulations, and guidelines in IT applications that meet prescribed technical standards; direct the development of information security policies and regulations; propose and participate in the formulation of IT technical standards and regulations.
Network Security
- Direct and supervise research and risk forecasting in network security to plan for prevention and minimize system incidents and develop cybersecurity solutions to mitigate risks of cyber-attacks.
- Direct the implementation of regulations, management, and use of information and content within the company to ensure proper use and information security.
Software Application Development
- Supervise the planning for upgrading applications to meet changing business activities, planning and building software to ensure project implementation on schedule and submission for leadership approval.
- Direct and supervise research and development of new, modern software applications to meet business needs, and the analysis and design of software to execute approved software development projects.
- Supervise project implementation and execution, software quality checking (interface + functionality), project acceptance procedures, storing project documentation, source software, checking project progress, costs, and quality to ensure efficiency and address arising issues promptly.
- Review the organization of project acceptance to bring results into use and report to the leadership for approval.
- Supervise the development of software user manuals according to the actual business process of users to accurately illustrate the business process of software users.
Server and Network Administration
- Supervise the planning for upgrading and replacing network infrastructure, servers, and creating operational procedures and regulations for server monitoring, and submit to the leadership for approval to ensure proper operation and compliance with the software application development pace.
- Supervise the testing and proposal of new solutions to enhance the effectiveness and readiness of server systems, storage, network services, backup, and data recovery.
Human Resource Management
- Support and mentor employees to complete their work effectively.
- Supervise and evaluate the competence of the team.
- Guide and develop the team in alignment with the company’s direction.
- Implement commendation, reward, discipline, transfer, and appointment of personnel.
- Organize short-term training courses and specialized training on IT and IT applications in various fields for company staff and teachers.
- Organize periodic meetings to track work progress and address emerging difficulties.
Supervision and Administration
- Supervise and manage IT projects.
- Supervise activities within the IT department.
- Organize, manage, supervise, inspect, and expedite the implementation of approved IT strategies, policies, plans, and applications.
- Act as a focal point, participate in directing, coordinating with other agencies and units in building and implementing related IT application projects; participate as a member of the company's IT Steering Committee.
