About the opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Director (Japanese speaking) to lead the Japan Desk and play a pivotal role in achieving the company’s ambitious growth goals. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives to acquire new clients and expand company footprint in Vietnam market.
Key responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive business development strategy for the solar rooftop sector in Vietnam.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities, including potential B2B partnerships and large-scale projects.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and high-level contacts.
  • Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations, marketing materials, proposals, negotiating contracts in accordance with legislation and regulations and risk management.
  • Manage and mentor a team of business development professionals.
  • Negotiate and close deals to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and competitor activity in the market.
Experiences & Qualifications:
  • At least 8 years of experience in a business development or sales leadership role, preferably within the renewable energy, solar rooftop or B2B project sales sectors.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving business growth objectives.
  • Fluency in Japanese (a must) and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of the solar rooftop industry and its landscape.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
  • Strategic thinking, analytical skills, and a data-driven approach.
  • Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Travel frequently across Vietnam.
