Job Responsibilities:
Establish strategic partnerships in the ocean and freight forwarding business, leading by example with an agile mindset.
Develop global customer accounts, driving growth through high-level strategies and ensuring effective execution.
Prospect target customers through proactive networking and leveraging existing relationships within the broader enterprise.
Develop and implement sales strategies to deploy company services, ensuring revenue and margin goals are met.
Formulate comprehensive business plans for each account and address growth activities and competitive pricing globally.
Engage with senior-level customers to assess satisfaction, manage critical situations, and proactively address needs.
Collaborate across functional areas to develop solutions, proposals, and pricing models, including managing the proposal and presentation process.
Utilize established processes and tools, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date
Provide leadership in the sales process, moving potential customers through the sales cycle professionally and passionately
Provide weekly reports on all accounts in stages of new business development
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with eight years of ocean and freight forwarding sales experience required.
Experience selling to C-Suite Executives is highly preferred.
Proven expertise in logistics processes, solutions, and project management.
Strong understanding of ocean freight import processes from issuance to delivery.
Successful experience selling solutions globally to customers of varying size and complexity.
Demonstrated ability to achieve major account sales goals and plan and execute sales strategies.
Ability to create comprehensive account overviews, financial analyses, and industry benchmarking.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective customer and employee relationships.
Strategic planning and sales management skills.
