Key Responsibilities:
1.Program Management:
o Lead and manage cybersecurity programs and projects from inception to completion.
o Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies and policies to safeguard organizational assets.
o Monitor and report on program progress, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
2. Risk Management:
o Assess and manage cybersecurity risks, including identifying vulnerabilities and threats.
o Develop risk mitigation strategies and ensure they are applied across the organization.
o Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify areas of improvement.
3.Team Leadership & Collaboration:
o Manage cybersecurity teams and ensure coordination with other departments (e.g., IT, Legal, Compliance).
o Oversee the training and development of cybersecurity staff.
o Collaborate with senior leadership to align cybersecurity efforts with business objectives.
4. Incident Response:
o Oversee the organization's response to cybersecurity incidents and breaches.
o Develop and test incident response plans, ensuring preparedness for potential security incidents.
o Work closely with legal, compliance, and law enforcement as necessary during breaches.
5. Compliance & Regulatory Requirements:
o Ensure the organization adheres to relevant cybersecurity laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, NIST, ISO).
o Work with auditors to ensure cybersecurity compliance and continuous improvement.
o Monitor changes in cybersecurity regulations and adjust policies accordingly.
6. Continuous Improvement:
o Stay current on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.
o Recommend and implement new tools and solutions to improve cybersecurity defenses.
o Foster a culture of security awareness and proactive risk management throughout the organization.
7. Budget & Resource Management:
o Develop and manage the cybersecurity program budget.
o Allocate resources effectively to maximize the program's impact.
o Evaluate and procure cybersecurity tools and services, ensuring cost effectiveness.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Certifications: Relevant certifications like CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or PMP (Project Management Professional) are highly desirable.
• Experience: 5-8 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles, with at least 3 years in program management.
• Technical Expertise: Knowledge of security frameworks, risk management, incident response, and security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS).
• Project Management Skills: Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively work with technical teams, management, and stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to address complex cybersecurity challenges.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Understanding of enterprise architecture and security solutions.
• Familiarity with automation and DevSecOps practices.
