The role will provide remote planning and logistics management service to our internal customers located in Japan and pioneer the process excellence across the APAC region. The working location will be in District 1, HCMC, with a flexible working policy.
Depending on customers’ requests and requirements from management, the role might include some (but not all) of the responsibilities below:
- Material planning, passthrough planning and delivery management: Monitor and control shipments, order fulfillment and inventory of material to meet customers’ demand within the given KPIs (e.g., inventory).
- System maintenance and execution: Input and maintain master/transactional data on SAP and other planning/logistics management systems (e.g., SAP, planning cockpit).
- Communication: Emails and online meetings with internal customers in Japan, as well as internal/external suppliers and stakeholders around the globe.
- Report preparation: Perform periodical reports of delivery/inventory performance; Remote stock-taking and discrepancy checking support for customers.
- Other Planning & Logistics Management related tasks
- For senior executive level, all responsibilities below are expected:
- Process excellence (standardization and digitalization): Continuously aim for productivity improvement via visualizing workflows/value chains, eliminating non-value-
- Adding tasks, unifying working standards, and task automation as project lead/coordinator/participant.
- Coaching and training junior team members: Coach and train entry-level members on basic planning concepts, good practice, and systems know-how.
- Management support: Support management tasks such as resource planning, guideline and procedure creation, report preparation
Job requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (preferably Master’s degree in relevant domains, e.g, supply chain, MBA, analytics, organizational studies).
- 3-7 years working experience in Logistics & Supply Chain Management roles (e.g., Planning, Purchasing, Warehouse management, Logistics, ERP systems expert etc.)
- Proficient in English and Japanese in business communication (JLPT N2 and above is preferred). Good understanding of Japanese business environment and culture is a plus.
- Proficient in MS Excel. Knowledge in other digitalization tools (e.g., Python, SQL, MS Power Platform) is preferred.
- Knowledge/experience with ERP systems (SAP) is preferred.
