- Perform project design (including selection and sizing of equipment) and development activities according to customer specification
- Understand scope of HVAC work to bid
- Handle all HVAC contracting works from site survey, tendering and submit for bidding, quotation and documentation proposal, sign the contracts timely as forecast hand over project completely relative retrofit and renovation works such as chiller positioning, pump, colling tower, ducting, piping, AFD, electrical replacement and energy solution projects
- Cooperate and closely working with purchasing team to sort list potential sub-contractor to execute project within timeline of each project. Maintain good relationships with subcontractors/vendors/clients
- Find out opportunities from customer visit, site survey activities to increase the pipelines for retrofit, innovation projects for projects relative to HVAC fields effectively
- Perform site surveys, site measurements, attend pre-bid walkthrough if needed
- Attend tender clarifications/interview as and when required
- Work with Manager in developing project plan, budget and schedule
- Coordinate with Sales/Customer Consultants/management in preparing project proposals, tender submission/clarifications and contractual documents
- Work and coordinate with sales/customer consultants to create quotations and follow up for service retrofit job opportunities to customer
- Track project progress regularly and develop status reports to management
- Interact with the sales/customer consultants and management to ensure all projects are performed within/under allocated budget, timelines and according to plans and specification
- Develop cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and productivity
- Source/liaise/negotiate with suppliers and vendors on quotations and requirements
- Compile supplier quotation, assessment of quotations and prepare costing sheet
- Responsible to meet sale target
- Maintain estimating logs and unit costs for all projects
- Closely working with regional technical support team to provide feasible solutions to propose to customer in satisfaction manner
- Determine Bill of Quantity
- Follow company policies and safety regulations for operational efficiency
- Research and recommend new technologies to carry out project development tasks
- Any other duties as deemed appropriate.
Role Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Engineering/Building
- Experience in HVAC/ACMV industry, knowledge in HVAC/ACMV is a must
- Knowledge of different types of HVAC systems and their components
- Ability to read and comprehend mechanical drawings and other construction documents
- Knowledge of commercial HVAC/Mechanical Contracting
- Min 2-3 years relevant experience
- Able to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Knowledge/Experience in project management will be value added
